Moscow to Podolsk 11:00 h — 14:00 h 40 km one way

Dear Moscow cyclists,
Please do join us for a city bike ride aka infrastructure excursion by bike starting from the southern part of Moscow (ice cream parlor AMORE at Metro Universitet м.Университет) to Podolsk.

Our ride will be alongside the Bitza Бица forest, passing under the highway ring MKAD.

Final destination of the trip is the suburban train station Podolsk / Подольск. This will be a 40 km ride mostly on asphalt on minor roads and pedestrian walkways, wherever it seems too uncomfortable to ride.

Speed: say 23 km/h to 28 km/h give or take.

The train will bring us back to Moscow.

You can basically do the trip with any bike. Velobike is an unfavorable option though, as they lack higher speed gears.

This is a ride for old friends and future friends. All streets will be open to traffic, so we will go according to the ПДД, the traffic regulations of the Russian Federation.

If you are looking for more cycling in May, join us on an epic three day trip from Moscow (Alexandrov) to Kostroma, one of the beautiful cities on the Golden Ring. Heading out on Wednesday, May 3 from Alexandrov via Jurev Polskij, Komsomolsk and Nerekhta.

Our choir will be performing in Kostroma on May 6, 7 and 8.
